Top tier doormen, respectful tenants, clean and safe. Management is very responsive

Serious cockroach problem

Has an elevator, nice doormen, lobby is beautiful.
Cons:
Cockroachs in the summer time AND winter, no AC.
Advice to owner:
Put in AC, but more importantly fix the cockroach problem that is building-wide. It is a serious health hazard.

Great location for young person

Pros:
Great East Village location for young person. Reasonably priced for nice prewar construction and doorman building.
Cons:
Lacks amenities of many other buildings and definitely needs modernizing in terms of making adequate space for mail and package delivery and garbage disposal. Super runs strange rotating businesses out of first floor retail space.
Advice to owner:
Modernize building including more space for packages and garbage and adding amenities of other doorman buildings, like rooftop and gym.

Great staff and apartments BUT HUGE PEST PROBLEM

Pros:
Great location, all the doormen are very friendly as well as the super. Apartments are visually nice.
Cons:
I would stay away absolutely form this building unless you don’t mind living with cockroaches. In one year’s time I’ve had 2 exterminators sent by the building and had to pay for 3 more out of pocket since the roaches kept coming. 1 exterminator told me that there probably was a hole behind the washing machine and the building needed to pull out the washing machine in order to seal that hole where the roaches were coming from. I asked many times, no one ever came to seal it and roaches there were. I also overheard 2 other tenants individually complain about roach infestation as well as mice!
