rats and bad landlord

it was large and great location
Cons:
dirty always, mold in the entry way, landlord refused to deal with any issues. no buzzer , tonssss of violations and illegal stuff. had rats the whole time living there. landlord was cheap rude and unresponsive. really loud because of the bowery electric. apartment was always too hot or cold. not well insulated and air always broke in the summer and landlord was slow to fix it. wierd smelly super that barely would come and we couldn’t have direct contact with. overall awfully managed, illegal and unsanitary. really problematic

Pros:
great location, price is good, some units have good space
Cons:
Landlord won’t fix a thing, very cheap. Buzzers don’t work for letting people in so your always missing packages and frantically running down stairs. He won’t update anything- bathrooms desperately need it. Biggest con is garbage situation is terrible and difficult. Garbage is inside and there isn’t enough space for the amount of trash. The super also can only be contacted through the landlord. Landlord has an attitude.
Advice to owner:
Fix the buzzer, it’s ridiculous. Higher floored units have to run down way too many stairs. just clean up the staircase and enterrance a bit , would make a huge difference. Update bathrooms and silly things that need to be fixed and don’t have an attitude with renters- this was the worst part.
