Great place to start
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator building, daily sanitizing, laundry in building
Cons:
The heat is so loud the pipes clang more than normal in the winter I could not fall asleep
Saw mice and cockroaches in the laundry room
Lived on the interior side and could hear all the patio parties throughout the night. Next building is super close so when people hosted parties you could hear it.

Very noisy the windows arent sound proof
Former Tenant
Pros:
Honestly this is a great location and the building is generally clean. Super is very responsible and helpful
Cons:
The windows are not sound proof at all if you have one of the street units it’s very loud even at midnight; the wall and the paint are very fragile and clearly not well maintained it looks like the paint on the wall is going to fall at any minute.

Watch Out Your ConEd Bill!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Charming building, High Ceilings, Loft Space, Big Windows, Lighting, Great Street View
Cons:
Horrible laundry room, Noise, utility bill
Advice to owner:
I was in apt 2e. Please check the electric wires thru fuse box. I think some of electricity lines next door apartment hooked 2e. When I cut off the one of switch fuse box, I heard the neighbor complaining TV suddenly turn off. Even sunny high ceiling apartment, $300 dollars month for studio con Ed bill is crazy. ,

Rent stabilized apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location and collaborative Super in the building
Cons:
Management repairs response. No agreement for rent payments during Covid-19 pandemic or rent reduction during the gas outage in the building since march 2020 ( still not resolved as jan 2021)
Advice to owner:
Better management of repairs, problem solving, and responsiveness to tenants inquiries especially during the Covid pandemic
