Solid location, solid building
Pros
Incredibly convenient location. Close to everything in the heart of SoHo/Nolita. Almost no pest problems, which is rare for an old building. No major issues living here for one year. Mulberry Street is surprisingly quiet because it mainly gets foot traffic, so it was very easy to sleep even when facing the street.
Cons
Management is pretty much nonexistent and they rarely reply to emails. I think the place is owned by a local politician who doesn’t really give a crap about improving the building. I never saw the super again after meeting him the day I moved in. The other names I was given when issues came up like heating also did not respond to messages. Cabinetry and kitchen furnishings are very low quality. These are all nitpicks, overall it’s a great place to live.
Advice to the owners
Pay for better work when installing cabinets, kitchen counters, etc.
