Pros:
Well built, quiet
Cons:
Old, basement garbage/laundry area kind of gross and always covered in flies, occasional roaches and rodents. Hot water comes out yellow idk if this is normal for an old building.
Advice to owner:
Nothing really, better pest control in basement

This is a really special home. Friendly tenants. On a side street. great location. Good light coming through the windows. Fair prices. I don't find any pests or rodents.
Cons:
Packages get stolen all the time. Huge package theft problem.

Nice neighbors, amazing super, but very noisy

Pros:
Neighbors all care very much about their homes except for the few young tenants or visitors who are in or fresh out of college who might do something stupid like put gum on the wall. The super Joe is the best. Location is great next to the subway and not too much going on on the street itself.
Cons:
You can hear every whisper from the hallway, your upstairs, downstairs, and next door neighbors. The walls are SUPER thin. That’s my main complaint. Not much you can do about that though.

Pros:
This is my favorite place I've ever lived in NYC! The location is perfect, my apartment gets so much natural sunlight and it's such a win having both an elevator and laundry in the basement!
Cons:
The building is definitely outdated and could do with some renovations but it is what it is!

Mice & roach problem

High ceilings, big apartment
Cons:
Mice and roaches in the apartment and common areas (laundry room, trash room). Super couldn’t care less Everyone says nothing gets fixed or cleaned
Advice to owner:
You should inspect the property regularly or get rid of the super. There needs to be over site to what’s happening, mainly not happening in the building.

Best location with the worst pest problem

Pros:
You’re really paying for the location and how there are so many things to do around the neighborhood. The super is very nice and tentative and the management company responds right away.
Cons:
I cannot stress how many cockroaches I have seen living here. The super will say it is not a building problem and blame it on weather conditions but I see multiple roaches a week. If there weren’t any roaches I would be so content here.
Advice to owner:
They need to have everyone vacate the premises and fumigate the entire building with a tent to resolve this problem. It is a health concern when you have that many pests running around the building. Also just because you see one doesn’t mean there isn’t a nest near by.
