Love for the 144
Former Tenant
Pros:
The landlord and super are amazing people! The super has been working in the building for 16+ years, nicest guy, and quickly resolve any issues.
Great location, well kept building.
Cons:
Biggest issue is packages being stolen. Occasional problems with mice, but it’s New York. And the super is always so responsive, takes action quicklyo when you need help with anything.
Otherwise, it’s great, minus the occasional 20 something trust fund babies that move in and decide to throw parties and break windows and let there friend destroy the common space. Thankfully Covid prices are gone and pushing them out.
Advice to owner:
Keep it up!

Dishonest and Scummy Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
soho is a great neighborhood
Cons:
The apartments are overpriced and small. The management are scammers. They refused to return my deposit for no valid reason and tried to extort me into paying even more money. They tried this with many other tenants as well. Beware. Do not rent from 144 Sullivan St Equities.

Would do this again
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful area, beautiful building. Our super was great -- he's not live-in, but is a nice guy who is dependably there Monday - Friday. We didn't have any major issues during the weekends, but hopefully they would've fixed those timely too. Trash gets cleared pretty regularly. Nice people in the building, no issues with noise, including from the restaurant below.
Cons:
Ownership was fine, but not great. They were pretty unclear in many of their communications. They left us unreplied on a few of our asks to enhance a certain part of the apartment. Additionally, since the super isn't there on weekends, trash can sometimes collect in the lobby on weekends before it's taken out. This is not great, but we try not to throw out trash on weekends, and surprisingly the trash is pretty benign.

Okay place in Soho
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, the street is quiet but close to NYU, great bars and coffee shops
Cons:
The garbage is often in the lobby which is dirty and smelly. The heat is way too hot in the winter. The landlord isn’t very responsive.
