Half half on this place
Former Tenant
Pros:
In a nice area between soho and the west village
If you go to school in lower Manhattan, fine location
Cons:
Everything else
Landlord unresponsive
Place can be easily broken into (very concerning)
Advice to owner:
Fix the locks

Great location but terrible building and management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is nice so long as you don’t mind the street being pretty dirty, especially on weekend mornings after nights out.
Cons:
Building management is super slow. You have to ask many times for help with issues, even serious issues like flooding. The building gets lots of cockroaches. Lots of water damage in ceilings. Overall lots of mold. Thin walls to neighbors. Not safe, building has been robbed multiple times.
Advice to owner:
Listen and respond to tenants.

Good location, mouse infestation
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, size of apartment
Cons:
Infested with mice and some roaches. Management company was extremely unresponsive. Took months of calling emailing and texting for them to finally come 1) remove dead mice from the unit and 2) deal with living mice/roaches.
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenants when they request help with an isinhabitable

Cons:
Mice infestation, took two weeks to send exterminator
Ceiling leaked, black mold grew, took a week to send for repairs
Advice to owner:
Timely response to emergencies that make apartment less habitable
