Amazing location, awful management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Heart of Greenwich Village, close to train, short walk to Morton Williams, reasonable walk to Whole Foods/Trader Joe's if you have a cart.
Cons:
Terrible management. Nothing gets fixed, rent is extortionately high for the space you get, there is shoddy construction. Too hot during summer, too cold during winter– very little natural lighting in the unit.
Advice to owner:
Seek absolution for your misdeeds.

Solid spot in a great place, a few usual pitfalls
Former Tenant
Pros:
It's in the greatest location ever, a block away from Washington Square Park but somehow on a surprisingly quiet street itself. Windows really do work here—things get pretty loud when they're open, but when I close them I can sleep easily.
Lovely natural light and pre-war details in our space and great neighbors—haven't had an issue with any of them.
Management is fairly responsive, not always great about lights but quick about stuff that really matters plumbing and the doors. And I really liked working with Krieger Real Estate, they're easy to work with.
No major complaints really, which is pretty much all you can ask for when it comes to a rental.
Cons:
I did have a mouse in my room, which was fairly quickly resolved but I could never tell if it was just because the monthly exterminator happened to be coming soon after. But the exterminator coming over, poisoning them, and then using steel wool/expanding foam over that fixed the problem.Haven't seen a cockroach in my apartment ever, though I've seen one or two dead in the stairwell before.
Also the front door was always broken for some reason, and once I couldn't get into the building. Management was extremely responsive about this, but again, I could not get into the building once and it was winter.
