The worst place ever
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location and price were great
Cons:
Management sucks. Seriously. The buildings is really breaking down and management blames you. I had over $3000 worth of furniture/linens/rugs damaged by a leak and they didn't show up to fix the leak for several days. the heat never worked, there were mice EVERYWHERE (even after the exterminator came several times). A window just fell out once and glass shattered everywhere
Advice to owner:
condemn the building

Nightmare of an Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, decent size bedroom
Cons:
Mice, leaks, constant issues, inconsistencies in temperature (heat on in summer not on in winter), brown water from faucets, literally everything was a nightmare.
Advice to owner:
Hire new super, be more responsive, renovate properly, get the rodents under control.

165 Bleecker St
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apt was a great size. Amazing location
Cons:
Issues with roaches and mice. Very old. Front door is not secure and key didn’t always work due to faulty sensor. Heating unit hissed and leaked scalding hot water throughout entire winter. Poorly managed garbage. Very unresponsive super.
Advice to owner:
Change the front door!!!! Invest some money in renovating the building

Horrifying Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, fine amount of space.
Cons:
- Ceilings fell in
- Water leaks
- Black mold
- Paint peeling and bubbling from mold and moisture
- Major mice and cockroach problem
- Uncontrollable horrendous heat
- Gas leak AND Carbon Monoxide leak
- Unresponsive, lazy super even in an emergency (i.e. bathroom ceiling falling in).
- Extremely poorly managed building. Trash everywhere in lobby, every day.
- Jenky system that opens door to the building not to code and caused regular lockouts.
- Had 311 on speed dial...list goes on. Every week it was something new. Horrifying experience. Do not live here.
Advice to owner:
Hire a new super, gut renovate your apartments using a professional contractor to fix all mold and structural issues, eliminate the rodent problem, install a new building front door system, properly screen tenants, regularly clean the building.
