Lively Village Location but…

Pros:
Super convenient location, close to BDEFM lines and a one minute walk from a lively restaurant scene. One minute walk from Washington square park.
Cons:
Noisy especially on weekend nights. Once woke up in the middle of the night to someone getting brutally beaten

While the apt is no frills, it is a great location and I didn’t have any pest issues while living here

Very noisy and communal spaces not well maintained

Closest Greenwich Village has to slumlords

Pros:
Location is convenient if you can tolerate the landlord and living conditions.
Cons:
Minimal investment in improvements, filthy public areas, little to no security with rampant package theft. The owner is not afraid of the law and will lie to intimidate tenants. I never received my security deposit back and found out only after signing that my lease included illegal clauses. Beware. The rental market is tough right now, but this building and associated properties should be your last choice.
