Bed bug city
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is the only pro.
Cons:
Michael Sloane is a terrible person. This building is infested with bed begs when we lived there and we had two friends from college coincidentally move in a few years later and had the SAME EXACT experience. We got them shortly after living there for a few months and learned it was a widespread problem in the building through neighbors and a friend of a friend we found out was living in 40 Morton, also Michael’s building. Long story short, Michael did NOTHING to resolve the situation and lied telling us he’s never had a report of bed bugs. There was no bed bug rider as required by NYC law in the lease either (our fault for not realizing). Run away from this and 40 Morton as fast as you can. I am still horrified to even pass by old walk-ups because of what happened to us there! We broke the lease and moved out the next week.
Advice to owner:
Go to hell.
