The worst landlord/management I have experienced in 15 years of renting in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building and location is amazing.
Cons:
Over priced + raise rent every year over 10% and do not offer more than 1 year lease.
Small bathroom and kitchens.

Landlord/Management not willing to help or negotiate on anything.
Requested to get out our lease 2 months early (been in the building for 3 years) as we are buying a house (and unfortunately timing never works out perfectly). They initially told us we would have to pay 2 month fee to break our lease 2 months early.. finally got them down to 1 month fee with 30 day notice. Which means they can rent our apartment plus get our 1 month fee - I asked if they could help us out and list the apt early and IF they were able to rent it early we wouldn't owe our fee or only owe a smaller fee. They would not even engage in any compromise.

They were rude belittling.
Advice to owner:
Be nicer to your tenants who pay a lot to live in your buildings. Understanding you are running a business there are ways to make business minded decisions that also help people, just takes a little bit more effort.

Perfect West Village studio
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Charming and historic building
- Massive studio space
- Great A/C unit
- Responsive to maintenance requests
- Incredible doormen
- Incredible roof deck
Cons:
- Sometimes could hear neighbors (only if loud music)
- No doors in the studio apt (tough for work-from-home with a partner)

Great Doorman Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location, amenities, management, and doormen are amazing. The apartments are well insulated, and maintenance requests are handled same-day
Cons:
The outside reeks of dog pee in the summer due to how pet friendly the building is, having some kind of grass nearby would mitigate it. Paying $7k in rent, you would hope the exterior of your building would smell nicer.

Miss this place so much
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building was amazing and the staff was great, in particular the doormen. Those guys went above and beyond. Any issue was addressed immediately. We only moved because we had a baby and there was no unit available with the number of rooms we were looking fof
Cons:
Yesenia from Rockrose. Everyone was amazing but she was on a power trip.
Advice to owner:

The Wonderful Archive
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great staff who is responsive and friendly. Always take care of issues promptly in apartment. Big apartments
Cons:
Some renovations were done poorly or weirdly in some units. Bathrooms are a little too standard for rent price. Some apartments you can hear your neighbors more than others
Advice to owner:
Improve the building amenities and apartment renovations

Major pest issue
Former Tenant
Pros:
All of the concierge and staff were lovely!
Cons:
There was a MAJOR recurring pest issue coming from one specific place in my unit and despite many kind emails, nothing was done or offered to fix the issue (aside from “close the vent”)
Advice to owner:
Consider that 10+ cockroaches per week falling into a bathtub is absolutely disgusting and not what I’d expect in an apartment where the rent is $5k+
