Meets expectations for a NYC apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Highly appreciate the fact that the building is relatively clean and gets cleaned every week, as that is not always common in walk-up buildings
- good location
- updated/renovated apartments with nice features such as dimmable lights
- laundry in building (some have in-unit)
- typically quick to fix some common area things such as the front door lock that broke at one point
- limited pests but there is monthly pest control service
Cons:
- laundry in basement often breaks and not always fixed quickly (there are also only two washers and dryers each)
- heat isn’t always reliable
- very little soundproofing between units
- for the price of the units in the building, there should be a digital intercom
- minimal ventilation in bathroom leading to mildew
- water pressure sometimes lacks
- communication with management for lease renewal was poor when asking some clarifying questions
