Unreliable safety, cleanliness and a pile of grievances
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lots of trendy restaurants around, cute neighborhood, 10 min walk from west side highway. Nice finishes to the apartment, newer appliances (fridge and oven). Management was attentive, usually replying in 1-2 days.
Cons:
Apartment: One bedroom door couldn’t open past the bed if you have a footboard. No rack in the closet, not big enough for normal clothing hangers. Shower dripped constantly, causing mold on the tiling. Had 2 mice in the apartment within a year (though exterminator was very friendly). Lost hot water for about 6 days total, usually lasted a few hours. Radiators were loud and little unreliable in the 30-40’ weather. No dishwasher, laundry or amenities.
Building: There was a carbon monoxide leak so had to leave for 3 days. The front door locked from the inside a few times, meaning someone had to buzz you out to *leave* the building. Saw at least 4 dead cockroaches (one live) in the stairwell. Had 2 packages stolen.
Advice to owner:
Proactively manage the building, fix issues the first time when asked, clean common areas routinely (every 2 weeks ideally). Communicate with tenants immediately when incidents occur (ie hot water shut off).

Good location but it’s October 28th - no heat still and hot water is unreliable
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location that’s about it.
Cons:
I have lived here since august, it’s end of October now. I have taken at least 15 cold showers — not tepid we’re talking like bone chilling. Management knows it’s been an ongoing issue, it gets fixed then doesn’t work again. Also frequently the door to exit the apartment has been locking from the inside… so if you’re trying to leave for work or just to leave the apartment (FIRE HAZARD) you legitimately can’t. You’re locked in from the inside. I can’t believe I’m paying for this place
Advice to owner:
You are in multiple violations. Fix the building.

Nice Location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Central location. Was very quiet towards back of build. You can hear birds chirping!
