No regard for tenants
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building is located in a fantastic area and many spacious units inside. While under previous ownership, there were no issues with management and the lease was reasonable with very few questionable clauses. They were flexible with the cost of rent and were easy to work with
Cons:
Arya Management has overhauled this building and increased the rent significantly, by at least $400/mo or more. Not only did they skyrocket rent costs, they do a terrible job at communicating and are completely unresponsive to the tenants. If you live here, expect the bare minimum from Arya. When offered a new lease, strict clauses were put into place that made other tenants and I question whether it was worth living in the building with owners who state these things. For instance, you must get landlord permission to change a shower head. Complete nonsense
Advice to owner:
Do better. Answer your tenants calls. Have a singular ounce of regard for the people who have lived here for years and consider the fact that this building is more than a cash grab.
