Great staff, but beware of potential mice issue + no control over heat
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Extremely friendly staff, responsive maintenance, doormen almost always open doors for you 24/7 - Given this is a co-op, lots of long-term residents who are also very friendly - Walls are thick, haven't heard any noise from my neighbors - Water pressure is great - Super convenient location
Cons:
- Radiator is way too hot in the winter - I've managed by leaving window open - Can be pretty noisy w/ traffic and honking at night - I live facing north on the M line - FYI - mice is a known issue in the building. I got maintenance to patch up the holes and it hasn't been an issue.
Advice to owner:
Re-open the roof please

Clean building with a friendly staff, and a SWELTERING INTERIOR
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is immaculate and the staff are very pleasant. There's always a washer and dryer available.
Cons:
The HEAT. The building can get SO HOT, especially in the winter. In the winter, my radiator valve was fully closed, my windows were open, and it was still SO HOT — in my unit, the hallways, the elevator, and the lobby.
Advice to owner:
Why is it SO hot?

Agent and management are the sleaziest people
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice location, by hudson yards. Apartment is very warm in the winter and the building takes safety seriously. Building staff are nice and friendly.
Cons:
There is a known mouse infestation which I wanted to report but my husband is scared for our security deposit, we constantly hear the mice trapped behind the radiator covers squeaking and scratching. The management is extremely unresponsive and the agent is constantly lying to us and our landlord (aka apartment owner). He attempted to raise our rent by $1000 or kick us out by the end of the week, thankfully I work in real estate so I know better and when we notified him that what he was trying to do was illegal he starting yelling at us. Since then he has been harassing us to show our apartment 5/ week. We gave him all weekend to show since we were out of town and he lied to our landlord that we didn’t give him access just to cover up his inability to rent it. If i could go back in time I wouldn’t have rented here, between the mice and this agent it’s really not worth it, even for the discounted rent.
Advice to owner:
Change agents, Thomas is the most unprofessional agent in NYC.
