Not terrible but improvements can defintely be made
Former Tenant
Pros:
Proximity to transportation, food and everything else you may need. Also new apartment with great appliances including washer and dryer in unit.
Cons:
Water damage in hall way ceiling, noisy area and garbage system (many times homeless men would hangout around garbage unit and leave additional trash and defecate in area). Also experienced some issues with getting the ac unit repaired, many issues with unit that impacted the electricity bill.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and friendly to tenants and repair damages quickly. If things cannot be repaired in a timely manner there should be some sort of compensation offered. In addition, see if I you can institute a better garbage disposal system.

400 W40th, challenging living
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient area, get get anywhere in the matter of 20min.
Cons:
Constant issues with the building management in a new building. Front of building consistently reeks of urine, people defecate in front of the building, safety is an issue as people constantly loiter at all hours (Drug users, etc) in front of the building.
Advice to owner:
Have consideration for tenants.
