Great location and wonderful Super, but NOISY building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location which truly can't be beat-- literal steps from the 1/2/3, A/C/E and L trains, West Village, Chelsea, the High Line, West Side Hwy, Little Island, etc. The elevator was v convenient.
Steve, the building's Super, is a gem and very responsive. Honestly, he was one of the best things about living there, as a single person new to the city. I was really lucky to live on the same floor as him and his family, which always made me feel safe.
Cons:
The studio unit is small, which was obviously expected but my apartment faced 14th Street (which is incredibly loud at night) and it felt like the walls were closing in every morning and night when I could hear my upstairs neighbor's every move (and I mean EVERY move...)
The gym is meh and the Peleton was broken the entire time I lived there. Laundry requires one of those annoying pre-paid Hercules cards, so I often used the drop off service around the corner.
Advice to owner:
Invest in better soundproofing and enforce the rug requirement
