Solid starter apartment in NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively quiet for the area, solid location
Cons:
Things break a lot given how old the building is and the fixes are always patchwork not addressing actual problems. Laundry machines in basement are old and essentially useless, always breaking. Apartment was dirty and needed painting (which the owner refused) upon move-in.
Advice to owner:
Address your tenants needs more to prevent turnover

Decent apartment for young people
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is amazing Clean laundry room and lobby/mail area Awesome roof access
Cons:
Living on the first floor…very loud especially on weekends. Door slamming and screaming upstairs neighbor. Had a roach and mouse problem and had to manage on our own due to lack of exterminator responsiveness.
