Awful management, AVOID!!

Pros:
Close to most subways, laundry downstairs has super nice ladies
Cons:
Management was awful! Trash never got taken out, our super never responded and stole packages, and we had a rat or pest problem almost every month
Advice to owner:
You should be ashamed of yourselves!!

security is abysmal. there’s no camera at the door which the restaurant next door has full access to. packages have been stolen with no action from management to prevent or improve the situation. gas was off for over a year and they tried to raise the rent from 3000 to 3750 while it was still off.
Advice to owner:
listen to your tenants. hire new management

No cooking gas for a year!

Quiet building and good location.
Cons:
Have not had cooking gas for almost a year, management keeps telling us it's going to come back but still nothing. Found out the building did not have cooking gas the day I moved in, no notice before that. Yes, we are getting a small discount but not worth it for the building. Apartment, specifically the kitchen is poorly constructed, and we have had issues with mice in the past. There is a virtual doorman but the front door camera only works half the time. My neighbors and I have had issues with homeless people coming in and out of the building and one of my neighbors even had a homeless person attempt to enter their apartment. Management is not great to deal with and they are generally unresponsive and unfriendly. Would not really recommend unless you don't care about any of the above (especially about cooking gas) and if you care about the location more.
Advice to owner:
The building needs to be better maintained. Someone moved in a couple of months ago and their movers punctured two holes in the wall in the hallway. Nothing has been done about it. There has still been no updates on the cooking gas and the kitchens in some of the units need to be updated.
