Great building and location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Will always miss that working fireplace. Tenants were nice and area was extremely convenient.
Cons:
Building was sold and most tenants were forced to move out.
Advice to owner:
Enable better communication with tenants

Nice quiet building in well-located area
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator is reliable, not too crowded or busy, garbage management is excellent, noise level is quite nice for Manhattan
Cons:
Superintendent is slow to prioritize tenant needs, many renovations to the unit were shoddy quality and needed to get fixed after move-in (towel racks & closet racks fell off walls, etc.)
Advice to owner:
More responsive superintendent

Great apartment until I was kicked out for renovations
Former Tenant
Pros:
Excellent location, elevator was great, most units have working fireplaces.
Cons:
The ownership of the building changed in early 2022 and I was given 60 days to vacate so they could start renovating/gutting my apartment. New management was pleasant to work with.
Advice to owner:
Keep the fireplaces is all I beg

Functional but nothing great
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, undergoing some updates
Cons:
Loud neighbors (screaming in hallway at 2am), somewhat unresponsive and rude super
Advice to owner:
Find a new super and update the hallways with new paint, find a better location for garbage

Great apartment, no issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good quality apartment with an interesting and functional layout in a great location. Old building but it’s been up-kept well. Brand new washer and dryer units in the hallways. No issues with heat, water pressure, etc… No rodents and have only had an occasional roach which is expected in NYC. Quiet neighbors. Friendly super and maintenance staff. Haven’t really dealt with management company other than after the initial lease signing, but they seem professional and responsive.
Cons:
The apartment wasn’t thoroughly cleaned when I moved in. I’ve lived in NYC for over a decade so I don’t have high expectations, but I had to spend a good amount of time cleaning.

Pros:
Prewar , location
Cons:
Management /property owner
Advice to owner:
Switch management companies and /or owners, whatever it takes start giving a damn about the tenants !
