Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews highlight the building's prime location and amenities like fireplaces. Positive aspects include friendly neighbors, excellent garbage management, and responsive staff. However, concerns arise from management changes leading to evictions, slow responsiveness from the superintendent, and occasional noise disturbances. Tenants emphasize the need for improved communication with management, better maintenance quality, and more proactive pest control measures. Despite these setbacks, the building maintains a well-kept appearance, making it favorable for those seeking convenience and a welcoming community in a bustling area of Manhattan.

Great building and location

Pros

Will always miss that working fireplace. Tenants were nice and area was extremely convenient.

Cons

Building was sold and most tenants were forced to move out.

Nice quiet building in well-located area

Pros

Elevator is reliable, not too crowded or busy, garbage management is excellent, noise level is quite nice for Manhattan

Cons

Superintendent is slow to prioritize tenant needs, many renovations to the unit were shoddy quality and needed to get fixed after move-in (towel racks & closet racks fell off walls, etc.)

Advice to the owners

More responsive superintendent
