Former Tenant
Pros:
- Landlord was responsive - Location was great - You have control over your own heating system - Wood floors and bathroom looked recently renovated
Cons:
- Water pressure was awful and the water shuts off for a few seconds every couple of minutes. Water occasionally comes out brown. - Hallways are unkept. There was always trash and construction supplies in the hallways. The stairwells always smell strongly of smoke. - There is very little security in the building because of a “spa” and a bar running on the second floor. The cameras in the hallways apparently don’t work so when packages go missing you are out of luck. P.S. The “spa” definitely sends out happy male customers that look guilty when leaving and is open 24-7. Make of that what you will…. - Rent was hiked crazily every year without room for negotiation. - Saw one mouse and one dead cockroach during my stay.
Advice to owner:
Be realistic with the price for what the building is

Smoke filled building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap rent at the apartment. Water is brown.
Cons:
Terrible neighbors, unclean hallways with mice, people leave trash in hallways.
Advice to owner:
Seal the apartments up to reduce mice and tell tenants and random people to stop walking in the building to smoke from the bar.
