Lived in better buildings
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet building for sure. Very nice neighbors.
Cons:
Super sucks, he is non-responsive and forgetful. The handyman is very nice and so are the other staff members. Management is ok. Laundry room is very small. Elevators are horrible.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building so it can be properly managed.

Ehhh it’s ok
Former Tenant
Pros:
In a great location. Neighbors are lovely front desk and porters are great.
Cons:
Elevators are horrible, always breaking down. Management really doesn’t care. Management is very unprofessional. The buildings super reeks of alcohol and is non-existent, he doesn’t do anything in the building and when he does, he does not know what he is doing. I watched him try to solve an issue in my apartment by looking on YouTube. Who’s decision was it to hire someone incapable of their job?
Advice to owner:
Get out of the business.

Awesome staff, apartments and building not worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice views but small units
Cons:
The elevators are just awful. They won't ever get fixed unless they change out to new ones because certain parts are not made anymore. Someone gets stuck at least once a week, and the owners don't seem to care or want to do anything about it. There is a limit to 5 people in the elevator or it will immediately break down. It is very dangerous.
Advice to owner:
For rents this high, make it worth it.

Nice building and staff with great views
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building staff is helpful and friendly
Amazing views
Unit finishing is very clean and modern
Cons:
Elevators break every week or so. If you live on a higher floor…just don’t go out or go home.
Management: did not notify our 50% rent increase until 30 days before expiration (lease said 60 days)
Took forever to get security deposit back (3 months)
Unit is pretty small and pricey
Advice to owner:
Notify any rent increase sooner than later, rather than have your tenants chase after you.
Return security deposits promptly or risk going to small claims court

Best Place NYC
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building has it all from a peloton gym to a doorman and elevator to a roof deck. Best place I have lived in NYC
Cons:
Cannot think of any. The elevator goss out alot but they get it running in a few hours.
Advice to owner:
Keep this place as is and lower the rent a little. Its very expensive to maintain.

The elevators breaks very often
Former Tenant
Pros:
Small building and nice staff
Cons:
The elevators are a mess. They cannot handle more than 5 persons at a time and they often go out of service to the point where residents need to use the stairs. It has happened to me more than 5 times while I’ve lived in the building. There’s also no service elevator so when it’s been used for service (every day obviously) the line to get into the remaining elevator can get long. You definitely need to add it to your commuting time.
