Good building in a great location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, nice doormen, building is overall clean, neighbors are relatively quiet although throughout the pandemic a lot of 20-something-year-olds moved in. But otherwise neighbors are good. I enjoyed living there. Apartments are tight but that's just NYC. They are very cozy though, and many have balconies.
Cons:
Windows are very old and freezing air is blowing right through them in the wintertime. Street noise will also not be blocked much. AC units are extremely loud. All heating, including water is electric so those will be extra expenses, especially during winter (even more so during old windows). There is a pest control guy that comes periodically but I did have mice in the apartment and a roach.
Advice to owner:
Install new windows and address the mice issues.

Great location, nice neighborhood, alright value
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing doormen, even though they were part time. Clean building and laundry on every other floor, super cool triplex layout on apartments, quiet
Cons:
Super narrow hallway, some silverfish and one roach found over the year, a little pricey

Unique apartments but a lot of noise
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartment layouts are nice and different. Super is very responsive. Weekday Doorman is nice and attentive.
Cons:
Noise. You hear your neighbors constantly. You hear everything off the street. The balcony doors do not fully close. Need replacing.
Advice to owner:
Need to replace patio doors and try to fix noise problem with neighbors.

Great building but poorly insulated (v loud, v cold in winter/hot in summer)
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, staff, apartments layout
Cons:
The walls and ceiling in this building are so thin, you can hear every single step your upstairs and next door neighbors take amplified by 100000000. Also very poorly insulated and it’s freezing cold in the winter and very hot in the summer.
Advice to owner:
Solve the noise problem, so many people leave this building for this reason. And change the windows like you said you would 3 years ago.
