Excellent place but dirty water
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, overall a very clean building for NYC, and a very nice live-in super who is responsive to residents’ needs.
Cons:
There is some sort of problem with the water in this building. I think it may be from rusted pipes. If you don’t install filters on your faucets you will have small brownish particles in your tap water, which used to stain my white towels badly (especially after showering). Normally faucet filters are supposed to last ~3 months, but they only lasted me a month here. Several other residents and I complained to the building management asking them to look into the problem, which they would do but then simply say they couldn’t find anything wrong. This is what made me and other residents think that there must be a structural issue with the pipes that would be very expensive and a pain for management to replace. Oddly/thankfully the water in the washers in the laundry room never stained any of my clothes though. As a resident if you invest in filters for the sinks and showers it does help at least.
