Studio Apt Review
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has laundry & elevator, decent sized apartments, & the building is clean. The super lives in the building, and is quick to help if i have any issues.
Cons:
The walls are paper thin, I hear my neighbors next to me & above; walking, moving furniture, talking (it sounds like they are in my apt), there are no exhaust fans in the kitchen. I also have gotten packages stolen from me twice (i have lived here for 3 years now)
Advice to owner:
Fix walls to add sound/noise proofing material, because the walls/ceilings are too thin

crackheads moved in…
Former Tenant
Pros:
supers are kind and clean the building frequently
Cons:
appliances are sub par, heat is off when needed most, package theft is rampant. crackheads moved in and now there is frequent police activity.
Advice to owner:
spend some money on this building. NEED a package room

Legitimately just no high-grade complaints. Wonderful safe street, in building laundry, secure double door system
Cons:
Package theft, flies in garbage room
Advice to owner:
Invest in package room/security for packages

Overall a good experience (until covid)
Former Tenant
Pros:
- super is very nice and responsive - apartments are spacious and closet space is plentiful - HUGE windows allow lots of light - great, central location (and near trader joes!)
Cons:
- pests (despite a monthly exterminator service) - noisy neighbors - experienced a flood while on vacation

Not as expected
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Great location and neighborhood! - Noise level from the street is very moderate - Amazing Super and his family!
Cons:
- Walls are impressively thin! I can hear all my neighbors and if a neighbor upstairs gets up early - I’m waking up too! - Very cold during winter time. In almost $2k apt I had to close the wholes in the wall between the built in AC and the steer. Otherwise even my ears were freezing when home - Very old building. Pipes are not replaced. I took a hot tube, neighbors downstairs got a huge wet stain because of leaking pipe. - Some crazy neighbors are using their private patio as a Garage with some production line. I can hear a hummer at 1am, 2am, 3am.
Advice to owner:
You need to heavily invest into this property. Here is ruining everything because it’s too old. Tenants do not follow the contract to cover their apt with carpets at min 80% of the floor.
