Lovely people and cute apartments
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very nice staff, feels safe, friendly neighbors, and overall well-maintained building / great place to live.
Cons:
Some creaks and cracks here and there because it’s a very old building, nothing that is a big deal at all. And some bugs - again, probably not at all unique to this building just happens but maybe harder to manage in older buildings
Advice to owner:
Maybe let folks know more about what they can do for bug prevention but otherwise no complaints here!

Wonderful building with fantastic staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very kind, helpful, and professional doormen / super / maintenance team. Have felt safe and welcomed in the building from day one. The neighbors and other people who live in the building are also very friendly and I made some of my good friends just through living here, which was an unexpected plus. Good example of helpful/on top of it building management- my AC unit once blew out and they replaced it with no hassle within the week.
Cons:
The building is older so you have the typical weird cracks in the corners of rooms / get some cockroaches which has been gross but manageable and they have exterminators that come through every week and can set up traps / spray. They also have some construction going on on the roof so not sure what balcony access will look like over the next year.

mostly ok
Former Tenant
Pros:
I lived here for a couple of years, and mostly it was fine. Doormen were friendly, rental office was usually open so I could talk to them if I had a problem.
Cons:
Occasional giant waterbugs. I'm not sure what can be done about them, since I suspect they came from outside (unlike smaller roaches). The cardboard traps set out by the management were not effective.
Advice to owner:
Talk to exterminator. (But since I left there 3 yrs ago it might not be an issue any more).

Nice Murray Hill apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen, access to a gym, super/porters are quick to respond
Cons:
There's no trash shoot. It's just a garbage bin so it smells. There were a lot of cockroaches and a mouse. The rent increased significantly YOY and they weren't open to negotiating (pre Covid)

Solid and dependable
Former Tenant
Pros:
A doorman prewar with spacious layouts and solid walls. Some units have updated appliances and the property management is super responsive.
Cons:
Definitely had issues with pests in certain units/on certain floors. The walls look like they’ve been painted over for the last 40 years, and the rent is too high to be paying for white appliances.
