Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for 205 East 14th Street highlight its advantageous location with easy subway access and spacious apartments. However, the building faces challenges like prevalent roach infestations, heating issues, poor garbage management, and stolen packages. Tenants appreciate the quiet environment and responsive landlord, yet they stress the need for better pest control, security for package deliveries, and improvement in basic amenities like hot water and laundry facilities. Overall, while the building offers convenience and responsive management, there are notable concerns that need to be addressed for a more comfortable living experience.

So many roaches

Pros

Great location - easy access to all subway lines

Cons

1. so many roaches. so many... like 1 a week at least 2. the heat is insane

Advice to the owners

get some exterminators in there ASAP to flush out the roach nest

Former tenant·Over 2 years ago

One of the worst landlords out there

Pros

Good amount of space in the apartments.

Cons

Water heater constantly has problems, causing there to be frequent days of cold showers. When water turned off for a week straight the landlord ignored messages. There were several sanitation warnings from the city in the lobby as they keep the garbage in the entryway, and mice (landlord also made us take care of it ourselves).

Advice to the owners

Stop forcing tenants to have to call 311 on you and do your basic responsibilities.
