Decent for the price

Good location, responsive and communicative super and management
Cons:
Units not very updated

Mice Issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
There were none.
Cons:
I loved here for awhile, and we had a huge nice infestation. The management did the bare minimum to try to get rid of them, and when nothing was working they stopped answering emails. I woke up in the middle of the night with a mouse crawling down my head board and they still wouldn’t answer. I threatened to stop paying rent, and they still wouldn’t answer. I stopped paying rent, which was within my rights as I did not deem my apartment livable, and they only reached out to me after not paying for a few months to threaten me with the law. We wound up reaching an agreement for me to get three months free since my lease was almost up, but all around terrible management company.
Advice to owner:
When someone reaches out with a very real issue, the VERY least you could do is respond

Overall, great building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is very responsive and although doesn’t live in the building, he’s always around. Quiet. Great neighbors.
Cons:
The current management company is TERRIBLE. (Marin Management Corp.) Incredibly unresponsive.
Advice to owner:
Have your property management team pick up the phone once in a while.

Apartment issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
The area of the building is great. It has an elevator which is well maintained. The stair area is also maintained pretty well!
Cons:
The building is infested with cockroaches and the trash room is always drity causing mice to be very present there. The super and management are not very helpful in answering questions or apartment requests.

Worked well for awhile
Former Tenant
Pros:
Laundry in building, quiet during the week, respectful neighbors, close proximity to trains and grocery stores; property management company available for inquiries/concerns
Cons:
No live in super; mice infestation and roaches for several months; very dated fixtures and appliances; elevator out of order several times throughout the year; laundry is in basement but not accessible by elevator, so you have to leave the building; super not always helpful with serious apartment issues (I.e leaks, plumbing issues, etc.); heating like a sauna during the winter
Advice to owner:
Update the building and apartments within with fresh paint, new modern cupboards, new appliances, and splinter-less flooring. Everything just looks dingy and tired, except for the apartments that have already been renovated.
