5 units here owned by one slumlord called shayne
Former Tenant
Pros:
location... not the building
Cons:
5 apartments are owned by one dirty landlord called shayne ebudo, he has a monopoly on the apartments and willl make your life hell. will fix nothing and will charge you abnormal amounts. we had mould and rats for a 6 month period.

Do not rent from Shayne Ebudo
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious for the area
Cons:
Appalling and unresponsive landlord who owns most of the building. My roommate and I rented from him during the pandemic and he was unbelievably cruel, he Told us he would reimburse us for getting someone in to do a repair in the bathroom in our apartment and he never did!

Fraud and dodgy building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenience but quickly irrelevant in face of poor building
Cons:
Cockroach infestation, the landlord I had Shayne Ebudo was aggressive and unhelpful. Refused to fix anything and increased rent by $1000 “just because he could”

Irresponsible and unavailable building management
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment is well located
Cons:
Wow where to begin, the building president and building management around by one or two crooks and they don’t do anything. The building is poorly maintained and they are incredibly cheap when it comes to repairs, the staircase had no lights for six months and they are constantly in violation for mice
Advice to owner:
Hire a new super and be respectful of tenants

Appalling landlords and management - moved out during Covid + didn’t get deposit
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing this building is awful, they will try and sell you on the area don’t buy it.
Cons:
I lived here for a few years up until 2020 when I moved out during Covid and I have had nothing but hell living here. I am a born and bred New Yorker and I moved into a third floor unit here and it was terrible, the owner Shayne is unresponsive and doesn’t care. He insists on not fixing anything and blames the tenant. Very badly run building and packages get stolen. Everything from the lights on the wall leading up to the stairs are broken.

Nice location but poor management and maintenance
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, small building
Cons:
Management take forever to reply and do the bare minimum to actually look after the place, the super Charlton is never there and you end up repairing pipes and water pressure problems yourself.
Advice to owner:
Be more attentive to tenants
