Good unit and nice management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building stays clean and management regularly sprays for pests.
Cons:
Very thin walls and can often hear full conversations with other tenants.

Pleasant Living Experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building is nicely renovated, has great appliances, is very clean, and has no pests! It is run very well and very responsibly, and management is extremely attentive.
Cons:
The bedrooms are uneven and even though all rooms do technically have windows, one of those windows is into the air shaft which is not very pleasant.
Advice to owner:
Keep up the good management.

College Dorm Vibes
Former Tenant
Pros:
⭐️ Management is great at responding to email

⭐️ Maintenance requests sent through online portal, building super responds to requests quickly and is very kind

⭐️ Laundry in basement. Using the Magic Pass app you pay for your laundry through the app and it notifies you when it's almost finished.

⭐️ Monday-Friday cleaning service mops the floor for all the public areas
Cons:
⭕️ Feels like living in a college dorm. Tenants ruin the living experience tbh despite management's best efforts. Noise is amplified from the hallway into all the apartments. No soundproofing. Young early 20-somethings act like 18 year olds living in their first apartment. Scream in the hallways, run up the stairs, blast music on random Tuesday evenings, etc.

⭕️ Package theft. Again, despite managements best efforts to thwart thieves (request deliveries to dropped in the basement with a key code) tenants buzz in everyone who buzzes into the building.
⭕️ Thin walls. You will get very comfortable with your neighbors. Every phone call will be overheard. You will know every mundane detail about their life because the walls are so thin. Even if they're 3 floors up throwing a party, the sound will travel through the whole building especially from the numerous inconsiderate neighbors.

⭕️ Sensitive smoke detectors - Almost every day one of your neighbors' smoke alarms will go off. You will hear those beeps yelling into the halls even in your dreams. Want to make a simple meal? Your smoke alarm will sing you the song of their people within the first 5 minutes of cooking. Open a window, turn on a fan and wait for the inevitable.

⭕️ Bugs - if you don't run the water for an extended period of time cockroaches will pop up in your apartment. When I first moved in the unit was vacant for at least a month and I saw at least 3 a day. Management had monthly pest control spray each units kitchen and bathroom (if you're unable to let them in they'll have the building manager let the pest control man in. Takes about 3 minutes top for each apartment).
Advice to owner:
Sound dampen if possible, or follow the guidelines you set in the lease. Despite the lease stating no loud noises or large gatherings that would annoy other tenants, you don't do much to help the situation besides an initial warning. If a tenant is confrontation adverse, you notify the loud unit who complained so they can't be anonymous.

Not a great building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Roof deck, laundry in basement
Cons:
Cockroaches if you don’t run the water for a few weeks, extremely loud neighbors
Advice to owner:
Manage the noise levels of other tenants, keep exterminating more frequently, and be nicer to your tenants
