Gramercy apartment review
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, responsive management, handy super.
Cons:
The street outside the building can be a little dirty but there is nothing the building can do about that. The heat in the winter could have been on a little stronger.

Well built walkup building, sometimes too cold in winter
Former Tenant
Pros:
Solidly built walkup apartment building. Fixtures and appliances cheap but functional. Friendly super. Management reasonably responsive.
Cons:
Sometimes a little chilly in winter. Consistent homeless and garbage problem on street outside. No real amenities to speak of.

Great location, Awesome Lighting, and Perfect Layout
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great sunlight in the apartment almost all day; the layout of the apartment is perfect for two as we can both be in the apartment but not on top of each other. The super was very responsive and always happy to help. Neighbors are generally nice. There's great subways nearby and access to many grocery stores.
Cons:
The trash and homeless situation on the street is not ideal, however that's a lot of the area. 14th St and 1st Ave can get a little rough.
There are no amenities like laundry or central air. The heating was a little sketchy this winter, there was no control over temperature and sometimes it over blasted.
Advice to owner:
Please be kind to Janet - she deserves to not live on 6th floor. Sergio is great- always very kind and helpful.

Good starter apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, attentive/responsive super
Cons:
System to buzz people in is inconvenient, you have to buzz them in twice unlike others buildings where you only have to do it once & it unlocks both doors
