Not great but could be worse
Former Tenant
Pros:
Unit layout is nice, good shower water pressure, located near the ferry / water
Cons:
Trash area is a nightmare - crawling with mice. One of the tenants had the cops come multiple times because she kept fighting her boyfriend and they were both unstable / not sober. Management is unreachable
Advice to owner:
Take some serious action with the trash area - buy dumpsters

Could be worse but still bad
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building has app system that allows you to buzz people in when you are away which is convenient. Overall most neighbors are quiet. Location convenient but street is VERY loud and windows are thin - white noise machine needed for sleeping
Cons:
The super is very dismissive and unresponsive - at times rude. The garbage area is a hazard. It is crawling with mice and there have been times when I open the door where mice come into the building. Packages have been stolen recently (mine and another tenant) and police showed up to the building for an unknown situation two weeks in a row. Neighbors could be better but could be worse. Overall walk up is not that clean, units are old, kitchen stove is very old, but that’s just how it is. Property management is completely unresponsive as well. In short, could be worse but if you any issues (even if it’s rats) good luck getting anyone to care or help you.
Advice to owner:
Please enforce package issue by messaging tenants that they should return packages that are not theirs. Remind them there are cameras on the first floor. I had hundreds of dollars worth of items stolen in my package. I know for a fact it was delivered to the building because I have an image of the fedex person bringing it to the door in the Carson app. Also consider using dumpsters instead of bins outside. No one wants to step out into that trash area and touch the bins because it is crawling with mice and the trash then overflows.
