Best for Convenience of Location
Former Tenant
Pros:
-close to various train stations (1, A, C, E, N, R, F) -right on a lively avenue with many bars and restaurants in Hell’s kitchen -the actual apartment building is very quiet and you don’t hear any outside noise even though it’s on one of the busiest avenues -the super is quick to respond -the men who handle the garbage room are very friendly and come daily to clean it out -pet friendly -most neighbors are quiet and considerate -no issues with packages being delivered or stolen
Cons:
-the water pressure is on the weak side and the plumbing is not good -many of the apartments only have kitchenettes -building has had summons for not being up to code -the building is susceptible to pests due to area; the garbage room will have several large rats throughout the night until the men clean it out during the day -the heat is barely there in the bedroom compared to living space -overall maintenance could be improved on -door buzzers have broken several times -mailbox is janky and some don’t close all the way
