In between 2 clubs- very loud
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator and mailroom are nice. Garbage gets taken out I think twice a day. The location is great.
Cons:
In between 2 clubs. One club is open Friday/saturday until 4am. The other club is on random weekdays and is also open super late, probably around 3/4am. A lot of units are very dark hardly any natural light. Occasional roaches

Club noise nightmare
Former Tenant
Pros:
If you’re living on a higher floor it’s a nice building
Cons:
The Stanger club is connected to this building and SO SO SO loud literally shakes apartments up to at least the 6th floor not sure about the rest but so many people have moved out because it’s miserable and not just on the weekends
Advice to owner:
Fix the noise problem

Close to Park, But Noisy
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to central park and lots of subway lines.
Cons:
Nightclub venue downstairs (Providence) that cranks the bass late into the night.
Street noise can come through windows a lot.
Security guards that hold packages are hard to find sometimes

I don’t have one
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is super
Cons:
Roach infestations are an issue. Lack of lobby coverage in the daytime. Lobby has become one big package room with no security.
Advice to owner:
Be more accessible .

Ok apartment experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are 2 elevators, nice finishes in apartments
Cons:
Bad roach problem. Exterminator came and more roaches appeared days later. One of the elevators is locked all afternoon every afternoon for trash pickup

Safe but beware of cockroaches
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location above the subway
Cons:
A lot of cockroaches, older building, very loud on 57th st, slow elevators
Advice to owner:
Better exterminator

Love the building hate the cockroach infestation
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great, cute building with a great lobby, great security, packages are taken into the package room in a timely fashion (although sometimes hard to actually retrieve said packages), door men are great (when on duty), 2 elevators, buzzer with video capabilities, apartment has character, large bedroom, great views, love the super lots. Great location by Central Park and major subway lines.
Cons:
There is an elderly hoarder living in a rent stabilized apt on the 8th floor and apparently she has quite the cockroach infestation that has become everyone else’s problem - especially those on the floors above and below hers (me). They’re German cockroaches (yes, I’ve now become a cockroach expert fighting the war against the infestation in our building / apartment) so I guess I should be grateful that they’re small and not the giant American ones?? I would say we have an “incident” or sighting at least weekly if not every other week. They’ve crawled on my desk during conference calls, in our kitchen cabinets, in our bedroom, and one morning I woke up to one casually trotting across our BED. I have done everything humanly possible to stop / prevent this from happening (plugged every hole imaginable, front door stopper, traps, exterminator every other week, complained to management like it’s my side hustle, you name it, I’ve done it) and still the problem persists. Honestly I really have no complaints about this building aside from this problem and I wish this was disclosed prior to us moving in as I would have reconsidered honestly. I’m constantly terrified house guests will find out about our problem 1 one even crawled into my sisters wine glass once and she sipped it in :) sooo that’s fun. I also detest bugs, especially roaches so Sadly a bottle of raid is always within reach.

The exterior windows have never been cleaned since we’ve moved in. It’s a 2 way street so there’s plenty of sirens and horns.
Advice to owner:
Can we evict this woman? Force her to clean out her apartment? Fumigate it? Do literally anything to make this stop? This is my only complaint about this building.

Cons:
