We liked living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Beautiful building - Newly renovated apartment
Cons:
- Super locked basement (laundry and trash can access) from 9pm-9am, except for the many times he didn't unlock it until noon - Poor natural lighting - Downstairs neighbors played loud music all through the night
Advice to owner:
Ensure the super opens the basement on time--access to the trash cans is a hygiene issue!

Beautiful building, rocky experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pretty “pre-war” building with quaint design enhanced by recent renovations. Nice location in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen; scenic street close to Theatre Row and great restaurants.
Cons:
Unresponsive super and management (e.g., broken kitchen appliances went for a month or longer without repair/replacement); minimal security, so package theft and loitering were common with no improvement and little done by management to address issues over the years I lived there.
Advice to owner:
Increase sense of urgency around residents’ critical needs and safety concerns; improve communication, especially email/phone responsiveness and availability

Don’t live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator building, close to the trains without being too close to the craziness of midtown. Kitchen in our unit was new/upgraded
Cons:
Louie the super is pretty useless. The laundry room is supposed to be open during certain hours and he most definitely doesn’t open it 99% of the time. You’re basically stuck checking if the elevator is open until maybe mid afternoon. Texting him won’t help either because he doesn’t answer. Oh I’ve also had COUNTLESS packages stolen, one of which was a mini Christmas tree that suddenly appeared in the basement where the super lives :) The main areas are dirty, dust bunnies in the staircase and the entrance is never mopped.
Advice to owner:
Get a better super

A happy home
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apartment interior was newly renovated in a sleek style, and the building hallways were also attractive and well maintained. The super is friendly. The area has many good restaurants, is well connected to public transport options, and is near to the Hudson River Greenway
Cons:
Laundry and garbage disposal only available between 9am-9pm, somewhat unreliably. We had difficulty with a noisy neighbor. There is many homeless people in the area.
Advice to owner:
Trash management needs work

Super is terrible at maintaining cleanliness.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbours & location
Cons:
Hygiene, trash, back yard, dog poop.
Advice to owner:
Bronstein please speak to your super and get him to clean the entrance hall, entrance door, and stairs at least once every two weeks. At the moment the hall might get cleaned once a month if we are lucky. The stairs have t been cleaned in years. Keep the outside area clean too. Tidy up the back yard - it’s a disgrace. The shouting and screaming by the super’s wife is just awful too. Happens every few weeks.

Save yourself
Former Tenant
Pros:
Pretty quiet throughout the day. Apartment we rented was renovated right before so interior was great and all appliances were new/had no issues. Location is also great for Hell’s Kitchen. No bug issues
Cons:
The super (Louie) is pretty much useless. The laundry (basement) is supposed to be open daily from 9am-9pm, which never happens. The elevator is locked by the super until he physically opens so the basement is inaccessible. Super is unresponsive. Our mail/packages (10+ since we’ve moved) has been stolen out of the lobby, by either people getting into the building or fellow neighbors, and the super/management has not done a thing about it. There are security cameras and they refuse to look for more than 1 minute or even at all. Super even admitted these issues and said to just ask the company for a refund. The hallways/common areas are not so clean.
Advice to owner:
Please change how this building is managed or get rid of your super Louie. Building has potential

Needs More Care
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great and all the neighbors are nice and quiet.
Cons:
The cleanliness around the whole building isn’t great. Stairs always dusty and never get swept and the glass from the front doors always full of fingerprints. The elevator is full of dust from apartment renovations as well.

Hells Kitchen
Former Tenant
Pros:
Centralized blocks away from TSQ.
Cons:
Could be managed better and offer more amenities to tenants. Packages are always missing and cameras are pretty useless when management doesn’t allow tenants to view them. Laundry machines are super old.
