Worst building I’ve lived in 16 years
Former Tenant
Pros:
The only thing good about this place is the water pressure and the water is always scolding hot.
Cons:
This is the only building I’ve lived at in 16 years in New York that doesn’t have a monthly exterminator, nobody comes to clean the hallways and stairwells on a weekly basis. In fact, I don’t think they clean them at all. In the winter, the building is infested with mice, and even the ginormous cockroaches get in. Not to mention that they raise the rent every year however much they feel like it, even when there have been no renovations or yearly painting done, the heating pipes make a very loud clank clanking sound that in the winter I have to sleep at my boyfriend’s house mostly. When I apply for this apartment, I was told there were no pets allowed, but I somehow always hear a dog barking in the building and see people getting cat food deliveries. And you’re probably wondering, why don’t I move out? Because costs of living keep going up and my salary keeps staying the same. Landlords like this are part of the problem.
Advice to owner:
Get a monthly exterminator and regular weekly cleaning of the stairwell and halls

Decent old building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location and reasonably responsive management!
Cons:
We had a fairly significant mouse problem in our 3rd fl apartment, and the area is quite noisy.
Advice to owner:
Nothing specific, negative elements like the mouse problem we had and the noise levels are difficult to change in this part of NYC.

Good living experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean, no noise from neighbors, good natural light, nice kitchen & bath, close to subway, good restaurants near by
Cons:
Extremely loud street, location near Times Square, super did try his best at fixing things but wasn’t always done properly or quickly, price is not worth the size of the space.
