Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for 406 West 55 Street praise its prime Midtown location, well-maintained apartments, and attentive doorman and staff. The building boasts clean common areas, a functional gym, and convenient access to transit and amenities. However, renters note ongoing issues with frequent elevator outages, street noise especially from nearby avenues, and occasional pest problems. Some residents mention high rent prices and rent increases as concerns. While management is generally responsive and professional, a few reviews cite mixed experiences with owner communication. Overall, the building offers a safe, modern living environment with strong community and staff support, appealing for those valuing convenience and quality upkeep.

Studio facing 9th St

Pros

Lots of sun, C line studio. Loved unit, building, management and building staff.

Cons

Hells Kitchen is busy, there's noise from the street but I'd say not bad and not too annoying. Walls are pretty sound proof unless neighbor loves bass.

Advice to the owners

Keep up good work!
