Best building I’ve lived in across my 10 years in the city…
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s very well kept. A maintenance person comes and cleans daily throughout the week, sans weekends. If I ever have a maintenance issue, someone is sent to solve it within a day. There are only 20 units in the building. There is one washer and dryer in the basement. Any time a tenant moves out, they have a team in the apartment to fix it up (and renovate if necessary - a few tenants have been in the building a long time). The tenant retention rate is high, which is another reason I wanted to live here when I applied - in the 20-unit building, I've seen maybe 4 people move out in my 2.5 years here.
Cons:
There is only one washer and dryer in the basement - which doesn’t matter most of the time, but can be frustrating if it is being used and that person forgets to change over their clothes or collect them.
Advice to owner:
Get another washer/dryer or two.

Great landlords and well-maintained
Former Tenant
Pros:
Landlords respond right away and get things done. Had some temporary financial troubles but they were very accommodating.
Cons:
The walls are a little too thin. Can’t play music too loud. Not ideal for someone who likes to host guests or who is a light sleeper.
Advice to owner:
When redoing older apartments, try adding a sound barrier in neighboring walls.
