Terrible building management
Former Tenant
Pros:
This was a good priced apartment and my neighbors were great.
Cons:
The management was awful. I didn’t have heat or hot water in the middle of winter. This lasted about two months and the management kept attempting to fix it without success. A portion of my room ceiling also fell apart which which was poorly fixed, only for the leak to start again. The management doesn’t care about your experience and the building is extremely old.

Nice neighbors, crappy building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are friendly. Neighborhood is okay but crime is going way up since Covid.
Cons:
Mgmt company is HORRIBLE. Routine for people to move in and have no heat or hot water for 2-3 mos. I had to shower in vacant apartment and they only fixed after multiple calls to 311. They will not fix anything. Super lives in another state even though they’ll say he lives in building. Windows, nothing is weather treated so living in a studio I had $260 bills from ConEd and they wouldn’t discuss.
Advice to owner:
Reinforce the insulation. Fix the hot water and heat in the building. Be responsive and require the super to live nearby, and to actually fix things or respond.
