Pests and not properly taken care of
Former Tenant
Pros:
Cheap to share with friends and close to many things in Hells Kitchen
Cons:
Huge pest issue. I did a sublease here and the place I stayed at had a history of rats. I was only there for a month and they had a nice issue there and exterminator had to come to visit. There were also mice in the laundry room. They also I Had flies everywhere in the lobby. If you’re ok with pests then maybe it will work for you. The neighbors have a ton of rats next door to them. Also living in the penthouse was a nightmare as people would be partying all night and we could hear every footstep making it a nightmare at night. Super was nice but is unresponsive as well.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and vigilant about issues in the building. People actually live here!

Quiet building great location
Former Tenant
Pros:
The management company is responsive whenever there is an issue, it’s relatively quiet, and the people who live in the building are pleasant (with the exception one resident who constantly smokes on the first floor causing the lobby to smell like smoke)
Cons:
While there is laundry in the building, sometimes the washing machines are broken. This can make getting laundry done on the weekends a bit complicated. Also I wish the building was cleaned more often ( mainly the floor in the elevator and hallways).
Advice to owner:
Please speak with the resident who smokes on the first floor and if possible hire a cleaning company to mop/ vacuum on a regular schedule.
