Management truly sucks
Former Tenant
Pros:
6 floors and up on the right side, the studios have a beautiful view on the UWS for one person wanting to live close to the two major subways.
Cons:
In 2021, the gas didn't work for three months, and people moved in without knowing. In December 2022, the elevator broke, and the timing was not clear on when the elevator would work again, and NO rent $$ was taken off. The elevator was installed a few years ago, and it's already having issues. Also, the water would randomly turn off here and there without notice. Overall, management does not care about the residents or up keep the place. When you live here, you will have a problem.
Advice to owner:
Ensure someone is up keeping the building. And be a human and help and be transparent with the residents if there's an issue.

The Absolutely Underestimated

Going downhill fast
Former Tenant
Pros:
Can’t beat the location
Considerate neighbors, quiet building
Super does his best (but is spread thin)
Cons:
The building has gone downhill over the last 3-4 years. As of today, June 8, 2021, the cooking gas has been out for several weeks and the communication about how this problem is going to be solved is sporadic. Apparently, the lack of gas was not disclosed to new residents who recently moved in, which is very unfortunate — and avoidable!

There is also a rat problem in the basement.

Packages have also been stolen from the lobby.
Advice to owner:
Please be more responsive to tenants’ living conditions. We went without hot water for more than a week and we still don’t have cooking gas. We understand that these things happen; it would be nice if we heard from you more often about what you’re doing to address these situations.

It’s Always Something Lately
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are nice. Super and his mom are nice.
Cons:
At the moment our gas is turned off due to corroded extension service pipes in the basement. Not sure how long it will take to correct the problem. Rats showed up in the basement a couple of months ago. Water pressure is meh and has been for a while.
