RIP OFF ARTISTS
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very good location, near 1-2-3 train and Trader Joe’s
Cons:
For the amount of space you get this place is a complete and total RIPOFF - the rent is way over market . For paying that kind of rent you would expect that the building be free of rats and cockroaches but sadly it is not. You have to pay extra to use amenities like the gym, storage room, and the children’s playroom. The air quality in the apartment is very poor and ventilation is nonexistent.
Advice to owner:
Reduce your rent to market rent or improve your living conditions to make it worth it to live here.

Friendly Building, Too Many Bugs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location and a fairly quiet building. Most of the staff is super friendly and helpful. The overall look of the building is very nice. The super is very easy to get in touch with and usually does a quick, thorough job getting things fixed. Several friendly people in the building who have lived there for a long time.
Cons:
We didn’t have much trouble with pests in our apartment itself, maybe because we were on the 14th floor. But the basement where the laundry and amenities are has serious roach problems. I once found pieces of dead roach in my laundry when I was taking it out of the washing machine. Really disgusting. Heat is also too high all winter long, but not more than the average building with radiators. I also thought the property manager lacked respect for some of the tenants. He barged into my apartment once to look at a water leak and barely acknowledged me. He was rude to other tenants (particularly an elderly woman in the lobby) more than once in public spaces.
Advice to owner:
Solve the pest problems. Make sure the property manager works on his manners.

Consistent Pest and leakage problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location, gym, playroom
Cons:
Consistent problem of rats, roaches in the apartment (6 dead rats found in 3 months) and crazy roach infestation that kept coming back despite pest control.
The building is also unusually hot - apartments not designed with ventilation. Needs full time air conditioning in summer. It’s so bad that sometimes air conditioning required in the winter.
