Convenient Doormen were nice

The building manager was not responsive at all They loved to add things to my bill They had a massive increase in rent and then listed the apartment at the rate I offered

Does the hefty rent increase occur only post-COVID-19, or is it expected for everyone to renew their lease regarless?

For pre existing tenants they really give bad renewal rates rather than being a new lease tenant. No, they don’t expect it but you have to give your notice as early as possible as they charge extra for ‘not giving them’ ample notice.

Rent increase was only crazy numbers post covid since the covid deals were expiring. After that it’s been on par with rest of market. Years market is slow there barley any increase but if market is hot there is an increase. Rent increases have always been negotiable
