Great neighborhood, horrible management company
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighborhood is great and the building itself wouldn’t be so bad if it were managed by a better company
Cons:
Management is completely unresponsive and unreliable which makes living here unbearable; bug problems; hallways are always dirty

Great but With Caveats
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, nice neighbors, a nice little space. Honestly, this apt was really good to us overall. The street is pretty quiet so that was never a big issue. Other than loud footfall above us, noise from neighbors in the building was never too much of an issue either.
Cons:
Bed bugs. Dear god, the bed bugs. They wouldn’t go away, even after multiple professional treatments.

Great apartment, dirty building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors were kind and respectful. Unfinished rooftop was a safe haven during the pandemic. Neighboring courtyard provided lots of light and shielded rear-facing units from much noise. Packages were never stolen no matter how long they were left in the entrance.
Cons:
SO many rats outside the building. Manageable but so gross. Lots of flies inside the building. Also really gross. Stairs and common spaces were rarely cleaned — once a chicken wing bone sat on the same step for weeks before it one day disappeared. None of these issues affected my actual unit, but running through all the rats late at night and then batting flies away as I walked up the stairs was not pleasant.
Advice to owner:
More frequent cleaning of the building would be fantastic.

Sunny and great neighborhood, but bedbugs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Laundry in unit, quiet neighbors, amazing neighborhood, pets allowed
Cons:
Terrible water pressure, management did not really fix anything or reply to our grievances unless the city was directly involved, and we had bedbugs for about 5 months because the pest control did not do a great job (he was replaced with a much better team though). The turnover rate at the management company was high so they were always short on facilities people to come fix our issues (ex. clogged drain, broken fire alarm, broken door knob) and there is like a literal kid in charge of the building.
Advice to owner:
Please be transparent with your tenants!

Ok building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice unit, laundry in building
Cons:
Extremely loud heat, hallways not cleaned regularly, poor water pressure, in building construction not respectful of current tenants, issues not always addressed in timely manner
