great staff, terrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
the super and door staff were friendly and very helpful. there is a sense of community - especially love how residents will leave books in the lobby to exchange (and sometimes other freebies).
Cons:
management was very slow to fix problems in the building. gas was out for ~6 months in the middle of the winter, there were periods when almost all of the dryers were broken. there were no working elevators for close to a year (the building is 9 floors, so this is illegal). we didn't receive rent reductions in any of these instances.
Advice to owner:
fix building problems faster

Terrible Owner
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has an Excellent Super
Cons:
Owner avoids all contact with tenants. Quick to threaten legal action against them. They ate rude, inflexible, and cannot be trusted!

nice building! except…
Former Tenant
Pros:
- security staff was generally nice and helpful - trash cleared up regularly - most neighbors were polite and quiet
Cons:
- elevator broken for months - gas was shut off with no warning and has not been turned back on for over a month
