Horrible Owners and older lady with dementia
Former Tenant
Pros:
None that I can think of
Cons:
Tiny hallway space and stair space people can not walk next to each other in hallway or in stairs. Small apartments. Narrow and no closet space Horrible owners unreliable and dickheads in their responses and overall attitude Horrible super doesn’t even clean or mop very lazy building is always in horrible condition Older lady used to stop all young people. Same older lady shows signs of dementia and has obsessive personality she talks alot of crap about people to other people, opens her door constantly up until 2am, waits for people to come to the stairs to interact with them just weird vibes. Talks alot of crap with the super you walk in and they are just talking about different people from the building. Management unwilling to do repairs Bullies and unfriendly people
Rotting floor and unrepaired appliances, lack of pest control (rodents and roaches), unresponsive management

Everything good except the garbage
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood. Lots of restaurants on the street
Cons:
Terrible landlords! They are quick to collect rent but nothing else. Getting my deposit back after I moved was so slow and painful that I had to have my lawyer friend call them with a lawsuit threat. After I moved out, they "forgot" to cancel the automated rent payments and try to collect rent for the next four months! I had to close that bank account to stop them. In terms of lawsuits, their automated phone tree has a dedicated option to file lawsuits against them, so they are quite used to this. There is no live-in superintendent, leading to slow maintenance. The garbage quickly piles up in the alley as the superintendent only comes twice a week to remove it. Occasionally, the superintendent skips a day, making garbage disposal hazardous. The excessive garbage also results in a rat and roach problem, with violation citations consistently posted on the front building door.
Advice to owner:
Spend the money and fix the building; hire someone efficient; don't try to scam your tenants!

Do not live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighborhood is cute
Cons:
Massive mouse infestation, dead cockroaches on the stairs, super only takes out the trash. I don’t think the stairs have been swept or mopped in decades. The place is filthy.
Advice to owner:
This place is on the verge of a slum

Bitter Sweet
Former Tenant
Pros:
Really loved the apartment but owners are not very friendly. Super is great but does not live in, repair are done in a timely manner.
Cons:
Common areas are not very clean and garbage area is always a disaster. Mail isn’t completely safe in hall as packages are visible. Bathrooms are very tiny !
Advice to owner:
The building is lovely but needs to be kept up with more and possibly updated

The landlord is a terrible human
Former Tenant
Pros:
Literally nothing good to say here
Cons:
If an appliance breaks no matter if it’s 20 years old you have to pay for it. The landlord doesn’t care if you go without heat Very harassful company Garbage is disgusting attracts rats in your apartment No pest control Very old dilapidated building You will never get back your security no matter how clean you leave the apartment
Advice to owner:
Just because your a real estate lawyer doesn’t and are able to jump throw all the loopholes to save your back doesn’t mean it’s human
