Roaches and rudeness
Former Tenant
Pros:
High ceilings Large studio with separate kitchen New appliances
Cons:
The lease agreement was completely awful, there was no fee to break it and the only option was to find another tenant (without using StreetEasy), it took them 10d to analyse their docs. They were completely rude in their answers (when they bothered answering me, in the last 6 months nobody picked up a call) and accepted no offer (2 months’ rent, additional fees) to break the lease. Prices went down and I ended paying $500/month over market price, no discounts accepted. Additionally, I had to kill 12 cockroaches in 12 months (different occasions), even with the monthly extermination. The wobbly toilet was never fixed, heat does not work during the day and the apartment has no natural light.
Advice to owner:
Make agreements market standard and do not take advantage of your clients. Hire people that are able to deal with the public and do not make your company look completely unprofessional. Get rid of the roaches.
