Nice Location - Needs Upgrades
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great. 10 minute walk to grand central. The building staff are great. They're friendly & genuine people. The treadmills in the gym were recently replaced, which was great after two years of issues with them.
Cons:
Roaches! The roach situation is repulsive. We have an exterminator come each week and the issue is off & on. The price is fairly expensive for the size. All complains fall upon deaf ears.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the bugs.

Great staff at the Ambassador east
Former Tenant
Pros:
Loved the staff at this building. Really really nice. They clean a lot and keeps things fairly nice. Overall good living experience.
Cons:
The workout room is really small and the treadmills break a lot. A bit expensive for the year it was built a.

Expensive, but good location
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is good, the neighbors & noise level is good.
Cons:
Management was more likely to slap a fresh coat of paint than fix any underlying issues.

Brown water & roaches

Pros:
It’s quiet and the neighbors are friendly
Cons:

Don’t recommend it
Former Tenant
Pros:
The doormen and maintenance staff are all great
Cons:
So many cockroaches!! The trash rooms are disgusting - horribly stinky and bugs come crawling out of the trash chute. Poorly maintained unit. Property management company is awful and very un-responsive. Walls are paper thin, neighbors constantly smoke weed and my entire apartment smells.

Great building staff, bad management company
Former Tenant
Pros:
The doormen and building workers are really nice and friendly. Laundry in building
Cons:
Gym was worse than they have in rental pictures. Building isn’t maintained well and appliances aren’t great. They wired multiple circuits together which broke appliances. Building management asked me to move back when they were struggling with vacancies, but then wanted to raise my rent by over 1300 after a year.
Advice to owner:
You could treat loyal tenants better

Good value overall
Former Tenant
Pros:
So far, I've had a good experience with maintenance, doormen, etc
Cons:
In terms of building management (Carlyle Prop), they seem to be slow to act on rent related issues. I will see if the security deposit is returned in a timely manner.

Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice staff quiet street
Cons:
Shabby hallways and lobby.

Ambassador East
Former Tenant
Pros:
The doormen are nice and cool. The location is decent. You can throw loud parties any time and no one will bother you
Cons:
Roaches! The property manager is a complete B!&@
She has a terrible attitude with tenants. She promises she will fix stuff and you never hear from her again. Also our hallway was vacuumed every 3 days or so leaving it dirty and stinky. The trash room has probably never been clean stinks so badly and there’s always roaches in it.
Advice to owner:
We paid the price we paid cause we were supposed to have amenities. We haven’t got to used any of them. Even though the doorman are nice we have lost packages twice and they never buzz when people come to visit. They just let anyone in. Gym and rooftop have been closed for no reason.

Good but lived next to a smoker
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen are very friendly, super is very quick and attentive
Cons:
Lived next to a smoker so my entire apartment smelled like cigarettes, management company told my roommate and I that it was a nonsmoking building, amenities were closed for 2 years
