roach infested apartment

lobby is clean, doormen are okay, they were going to waive the fee for the gym and amenities for us. liked being able to leave boxes in an area for pickup
Cons:
completely roach infested and smelled like pee in the hallways. management was super unresponsive and it would take multiple calls and emails to even be granted a response. our apartment was given to us with a hole in the floor, the bathtub vinyl peeling off in huge chunks and rusted, and cockroaches everywhere. their team was very dismissive to me as a single female and would not take my complaints seriously. had to file a report with HPD and they used it as a reason to not give me money back when we broke our lease.
Advice to owner:
be kinder? treat tenants' concerns as if it was you living in that establishment? more communication between management and the vendors you use to clean/make updates

- Dirty hallways at times - Hallways could use paint job - Front doors could use paint job - Gym in basement is typically out of order. Limited equipment ever works

- right next to trump tower/the UN; frequent protests, security, and police made for very loud saturday mornings and difficult commutes to work due to road closures, etc.

Fast and helpful building manager, clean in common areas
Cons:
Elevators are finicky, no recycling (or very questionable recycling), sometimes bugs in dishwasher and building wasn’t super helpful (went away though.)
Advice to owner:
Communicate recycling process better and provide more extermination options/updates. A building Facebook or NextDoor group would help also.
